A fairy tale in Bologna – Styled shoot

abito da sposa corto, abito da sposa vintage, nadia manzato, matrimonio non convenzionale, sposa non convenzionale, real wedding

Today I’m sharing pictures from a project created in collaboration with professionals who I really appreciate: it’s a shooting that has as background Bologna (unfortunately I’ve never been there yet but seeing these pictures makes me want to go there immediately!!!) taken by amazing Lato Photography and planned by The White Plan.

The protagonist is a modern and unconventional bride strolling along the streets of Bologna, until she gets to a beautiful terrace where she relaxes in the sun with her dog.

The colors are soft and romantic, and I love the way Alice from Studio Alispi used them to create a watercolors stationery. And what about the cake and flowers? I just love them.

We took part in this project with one of our new wedding dresses, a cool outfit consisting in a tulle skirt and a cady silk blouse embroidered with lace flowers…I hope you like it!

You can find all the credits of the shooting at the bottom of the pictures.

Fashion illustrations

This work is the result of a mix between photography and illustration (I am a fan of illustrations). Our wedding dresses come to life thanks to the wonderful illustrations by Laura Galeazzo (if you want to see her work visit her website Why do not you draw butterflies) with the support of the graphic designer Eleonora Gherlinzoni, and the photos taken by Matrimoni all’italiana. What I like most about this work is the idea of presenting our clothes in a completely new and unconventional way, I hope you like it, I really love it!!!

I want to thank the whole team who took part in this project including the always wonderful Roberta Bosetti as our model and Paola Bianchera for makeup and hairstyles.

Bridal Headpieces: gold leaves headbands

avigailadam Etsy

I was pinning (PINTEREST IS SUCH AN OBSESSION. SOCIAL LIFE WHAT?) when I came across a beautiful picture of a lovely bridal hair style with a gold leaves headband. Doing an online research I found a lot of them (especially on Etsy), and I think they can be a very elegant and original idea for a wedding hair style especially if matching with loose braids or even with the hair down, for a natural and at the same time sophisticated look. Below my favorites (and you will also find the link where you can buy some of them!).

A colorful 50s inspired wedding: Federica and Angelo

A 50s inspired wedding, bridal dress by Nadia Manzato

Today I’m sharing a wedding that I couldn’t wait to share: I’m talking about the wedding of one of our 2014 brides, Federica. An original, colorful, fun, touching wedding. Ok maybe I don’t count because I always get emotional at weddings (can you believe that I am able to cry while watching an episode of “Four Weddings” on Real Time? I AM NOT KIDDING), but when I saw these photos taken by LaTo Photography, the beauty of this wedding, I cannot help but get emotional.

The theme of the wedding reception were the 50s, and the location was Brisighella, a stunning place I didn’t know before seeing these photos and which I quickly added among the places to visit at least once in a lifetime.

For Federica we created one of our bridal gowns inspired by the 50s, the Melissa gown, and she paired it with a pair of vintage heels during the celebration and then with a pair of red polka dots All stars during the reception. But look at Angelo, the groom, with his polka dot vest, the suspenders, the wood bow ties and the All stars…Amazing!

Such a beautiful couple, isn’t it? :)

English Gentlemen’s club styled shoot

I am here today to present you a project of which I’m particularly proud of. As you know from last october our wedding dresses can be found in London too, at Heart Aflutter bridal, so along with photographer Anna from Bianco we had the idea of creating a styled shoot that had London as location. Forget red telephone box and double-decker buses, you’re gonna see a less expected London: the London of the so-called Gentlemen’s clubs, those members-only private clubs frequented by upper class men in the 18th century. The location was absolutely fabulous: we are talking of the Union Club, located in Soho, and the result is a styled shoot with dark and intense colors inspired by oil paintings and a nostalgia for the period between the ’20s and ’40 glamour: I personally adore it, and I think that super talented Anna from Bianco (photography) and Westwood design (styling) have done an amazing job (and all the professionals involved too!). We participated with two of our wedding dresses, the Primula gown which we created especially for the occasion, a very precious dress with lace bodice and a silk chiffon long skirt, and the Gelsomino gown, one of our short wedding dresses with plumetis skirt, lace, and draped bodice. Credit goes to Cecilia from Heart Aflutter for putting together a team of super talented professionals with whom it was a pleasure and an honor to work, and I am also particularly happy because this styled shoot was featured on the blog Love My Dress, one of the most popular english blogs. I leave you now these gorgeous photos!

Volkswagen van

wedding getaway vehicle, wedding volkswagen van
Today, I’m gonna talk about the legendary Volkswagen van.
I swear, if I could, I’d buy a Volkswagen van and drive it all day long. I think it’s amazing!
Symbol of freedom, nonconformity, desire to travel and icon of the 60s and of the hippies, the Volkswagen van can also be used as a wedding getaway vehicle, especially if the bride and groom are young and unconventional. It’s widely used especially in England (it’s obvious, isn’t it?), but come on, let’s stop seeing only luxurious and modern getaway vehicle here in Italy… let’s spread our free spirit!
It is available in different colors, I personally love the mint version, but also the red one! Here are some pictures.

Wooden bow ties by Two Guys Bow Ties

Two Guys Bow ties, wooden bow ties, groom style
Today we talk about “things that are so wonderful that it is impossible not to talk about them.”
In fact, I was browsing through Pinterest, when I stumbled upon a beautiful image: a photo of a wooden bow tie.  I discovered that it was a wonderful handmade wooden bow tie created in the United States by two guys, Adam Teague and Tim Paslay, who founded the brand Two Guys Bow Ties with the intent of creating alternative bow ties.

Bucolic bride – Editorial shoot

Today I am here to show you a new project in collaboration with Elisabetta Marzetti Photography: it’s an editorial shoot where Genny, the model, wears our dress with the lovely backdrop of Marche.

Very few elements were used but pretty spectacular: I personally love it!

The dress that we used for this shooting is a long dress with lace bodice and a plunging neckline on the back and a soft skirt made of silk chiffon. I hope you like it

But now I’m gonna let these wonderful photos talk!

Bridal crowns

Today we talk about bridal crowns.
I recently reevaluated crowns as an accessory for the bride, since I’ve found absolutely gorgeous bridal crowns around the Internet. I have to say that until a few years ago I had a kind of revulsion for the wedding crowns (they can be really trashy, don’t they?).
But if they are tiny and refined, they can be a not expected hair accessory for the bride.
Here is a collection of really beautiful bridal crowns!

Bohemian shooting
